Autobiography of Mick Burke who was born in Ancoats, east of the centre of Manchester and his early years tell how his mother sold fish and rabbits from a handcart. In the First World War he served in Gallipoli, France and Egypt and returned home wounded. After time unemployed and doing casual jobs he set up as a horse and cart trader, travelling in Lancashier & Cheshire. This book is based on recorded conversations with Frank Heaton and uses Mick's own words as far as possible.
