New book in mint condition. 48pp.
A great collection of photographs with accompanying text of the Dukinfield district of Tameside, Greater Manchester, formerly in Cheshire. They are mainly from the early years of the 20th century, but some go back to the 1800's. Subjects covered include the Lamb Inn after a grave structural disaster, the S.H.M.D. (Stalybridge, Hyde, Mossley and Dukinfield) Tramways and Electricity Board, Whit walkers, the Town Hall, Dukinfield Hall and Dukinfield Lodge, Coronation walkers, early street scenes and local worthies, Dukinfield Cycling Club in about 1910, school groups, the Moravian settlement and some local bands and leisure activities. No marks or inscriptions or creasing. A lovely clean crisp tight copy.
